Kathryn's Timor-Leste trek
Story
In May this year I will be travelling to Timor-Leste to participate in a challenge to raise money for the International Women's Development Agency (IWDA). In the course of 10 days we will be visiting several of the projects that are supported by IWDA, the Balibo memorial and climb the highest peak (Mt Ramelau at 2,963m!).
I have chosen to take up this challenge to support the work of IWDA and to better appreciate the difficulties that the people of Timor-Leste are experiencing as the world's newest nation.
I urge you to donate so that IWDA may continue to work in partnership with local women's organisations, which is fundamental to making a positive and sustainable change to the discrimination and inequality that women face in the developing world.
